Shots-Fired Incident Under Investigation In Area

Authorities are investigating reports of shots fired after a 29-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds, authorities announced.

In Ulster County, police in Kingston received a report of shots fired on Cedar Street shortly after 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20.

Upon arrival, members of the City of Kingston Police Department said that they located a 29-year-old man whose name has not been released, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

According to police, in addition to the victim, rounds were also found in a local business and private residence.

The investigation into the shooting is being conducted by these agencies:

  • Kingston Police Department;
  • New York State Police;
  • Ulster County Sheriff’s Office;
  • Town of Ulster Police;
  • Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.
